The researchers also took a look at data from 1960 and from 1980. In their research, they learned that the number of 20-somethings who had gotten divorced several decades ago was much larger than it was back in 2016. On the contrary, the number of older people who had gotten divorced was much smaller decades ago than it was in 2017.
